So, I've not been on here in a while (again!)

At the moment the youth theatre I help out at are doing Wizard of Oz.
I cameo as Uncle Henry, which is nice.

I'll be putting the youth theatre stuff on hold for at least a year as I've gone on to working nights to save up for decent filmmaking gear, so it's goodbye yellow brick road for the time being at least, but if I've got the time I'll be appearing as Bill Sykes in Oliver Twist in Dec/Jan.

The fairytale stop motion animation, previously motioned, is moving along steadily, to be shot on Super 8.
We've recorded the vocals and soundtrack and are into the design stages.
I'm still keeping schtum about the content for the time being.

Got a few other ideas in development too, and found some decent writing partners, which is nice.

*

Saw NIN this week who were good, as I hope Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson are tomorrow.
I've fallen in love hard with Florence and the Machine and am seeing them in September :D

Enough about me, how are you?

long time

well,
it's been a while.

i've had to bite the bullet and go to an office job to get out of debt.
lion, the witch and the wardrobe went really well and i starred in a very brechtian christmas carol (as marley, fezziwig, christmas present, yet to be and a portly gent) and it was awesome even if i say so myself.

i've been in and out of another relationship and have finally learnt after 10 years that i'm not cut out for them.
it's not a negative thing although everyone i mention it to seems to think it is. i think i'm too independent really.
i've also learnt more in that one relationship that i did in all the other combined.

right now, i'm in preprod on 3 self produced short films.
i'm most excited about the stop motion animation fairy tale.
i'm keeping tight lipped about the subject matter for the time being.

i'm helping teach at a youth theatre, for which i directed a very surreal alice in wonderland.
teaching 50 kids a self developed quadrille to 'under the sea' by the beatles has to be one of my all time achievements.
i'm writing a sarah kane/grimm influenced play for them at the mo.

so, down but certainly not out.

Been busy

Got 2 music vids coming up soon. Going to be using 8mm for the first time. Which'll be nice.

I'll be acting in Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as Mr. Beaver in July.

Went to Atlantic City, NY and Philly. It was awesome. Won $1000 playing poker at the Taj Mahal in AC.
Started a relationship. Ended a relationship.
Watched United win the European Cup :D
Drank 3 weeks worth of alcohol in one night as a result...

Not been doing much writing, but I'll try soon.
Going to the Races on Monday.

Life has brought me back to Preston for the time being.
The landlady who I'm lodging with, is a fosterer for Cats Protection. She has a shelter in her back yard until she can find permanent homes for the cats she looks after (Interesting aside- the shelter was paid for by Cat Obituaries. Yes, they exist!?!)

So from a nice human to utter bastards. Her current guest, Oscar, 2, who is really friendly and looks like the cat from the felix adverts (photo available on request) has been abandoned by his previous family as they've just got a new kitten and they don't want him anymore. Shitbags. Makes you wonder what'll happen when the new kitten has served its purpose.

So, anyway, if you can provide a home to Oscar, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the right people and if my landlady decides you're not a nutter you can adopt.
All CP cats are chipped, neutered and have had their shots. CP ask for a donation to cover the vet charges. No timewasters please.
